- James Legge's translation at the Chinese Text Project places the English alongside the Chinese text. Its older vocabulary makes comparison with another translation useful.
- Robert Eno's The Analects of Confucius: A Teaching Translation offers an openly available teaching edition with glosses and commentary.
- Edward Slingerland's Analects: With Selections from Traditional Commentaries provides a translation alongside excerpts from the commentarial tradition, making disagreements over interpretation visible.
- D. C. Lau's The Analects provides another complete translation for comparing choices about central terms and difficult passages.
